In today’s episode I do a deep dive into Your TEXAS Power Bill Will SHOCK You… Unless You Do This 1 Thing. Let's talk about those outrageous power bills you're going to get hit with a crazy power bill here, and the only reason I bring it up is because there is nothing like it anywhere else I've ever been. There's like 1000 companies that deliver your power to you. You do not pay the power company. Now if you get outside of Houston into some of the more remote markets you do. Actually, I believe just pay the power company, but anywhere in Houston. If you're moving here, the suburbs or whatever, there's gonna be a third party. They say it's like something that Texas did to bring more that I can't even explain it. I tried looking into it, but since there's more options you can get more affordable power, but I think it just muddies up the water and people here just take it for granted their whole life. Our first bill was like $800. I was about to fell over that it would cover eight months of my power Bill in the northwest. So I started to look into it, ask all the locals and everybody was like yeah man, you got to shop that stuff and I'm like. Well how the hell do you do that? So I learned and I learned the hard way.
The first thing is just establishing kind of what your lifestyle is gonna be, because if you're gonna be working from home, you may want more of a flat rate style power plan. Again, there's hundreds of these things, so I have friends like I mentioned, where they will go in and they will find these different plans that fit them best. And then they negotiate they'll read all that stuff and find the best ones. Just like my brain doesn't work that way. So I asked a Facebook Group One time where my neighborhood is like, dude, what's up with these power bills? Does anybody know the best one? And a lot of people would say, "their power companies is this..., their power companies that use this one", and a couple people started saying just use energyogre.com and you'll thank me later. Use energy. So I went to energy Ogre and looked at it and you pay them. Now you pay them $10.00 a month but they shop your power for you. They analyze your bill, they analyze your house in the past eight will do a deep dive. They shop every single company for you. You tell them how much power you think you're going to use you, know what your schedule is and they will find you this most random *** Texas Power Company that is the most affordable. My bill comes up immediately like same month, a year later in August went down to 300 something. You can save $100, $200 or $400 a month. By doing it and you pay 10 bucks and you never have to worry about shopping again. These little companies they go out of business or get acquired all the time and so if that ever happens then they'll completely turn your account over for you. They set everything up for you. You never have to do anything.
